Install after softener/iron filter and a 5-micron sediment filter; UV must be the last stage. Spec sheet lists hardness, iron and tannin limits for feedwater.
Stainless chamber, 3/4 in MNPT, 60 W Sterilume-HO lamp S410RL-HO, lamp life 9,000 hours (~1 year) with countdown timer and audible alarm. Spec sheet flow rates at 95% UVT: 18 GPM at 30 mJ/cm2 (VIQUA standard), 14 GPM at 40 mJ/cm2 (NSF/EPA dose). Spec sheet calls for a 5 micron prefilter. Replacement lamp $160 on Amazon -> annual est. $160. NSF 55: VIQUA is not in NSF's database; the flow-restricted sibling VH410-V (14 GPM) is described by VIQUA as NSF/ANSI 55 Class B, but the base VH410 carries no stated NSF 55 listing, so none recorded. Idaho well owners with a positive coliform test need UV sized at 40 mJ/cm2 for the peak flow.
